Worship
In the Hindu Holy Book, the Bhagavad Gita, it says that whenever there are problems in the world - whenever people forget to worship God and turn from good to bad - then God comes to earth as an avatar to reinforce goodness and get rid of evil. There have been many avatars on earth but Hindus worship nine who came in the past to make the world a safer place for all to live. The Murtis in this mandir represent some of them. In India usually there is only one murti in each mandir but here there are many.
We believe that the creator will come again to save the earth, at a time when people have become wicked and have forgotten God. The next time He will be known as Kalki.
